“Empty Bowls” is a grassroots movement to help end hunger.  The idea is simple.  Enjoy local pottery and food at this casual family-friendly event.  Choose a handmade artisan bowl.  Taste samples of soup, bread and dessert from several local restaurants.  Keep your bowl as a reminder that your support helps fill all the empty bowls in our community.  Bowl prices will start at $25 for adults and $10 for students. Kids under 6 eat free. The Bartlett Jazz Band will be performing.  We will also have student artwork and ice sculptures on display.  So please join us for this magical evening of good will, good food and good art!

Area Restaurant Owners: if you have not been contacted by us and would like to help by donating food or supplies please contact us at 508 943 8552.

Update - Color Blind Corrective Glasses

1/6/2017

The Bartlett Art Department Color Blind Corrective Glasses Library is now fully operational!  One of our favorite BHS Alumna, Brianna, tried out a pair over her winter break and kindly shared her experience. See her Tweet and video compilation to the right.

"Look at Tomatoes!"

Thank you to The Janet Malser Humanities Trust for helping to make this possible for our students and community members! We have been changing the way students view the seasons of New England and experience everyday activities like grocery shopping and fashion. In addition, student have been able to use the glasses during school in other content areas such as Math and Science.

I got the amazing opportunity of using colorblind corrective glasses for the past few weeks. A huge thank you to the Bartlett Art Department pic.twitter.com/RfUDc9YIhS
