Clay is a remarkable inorganic material that is used to create functional and sculptural forms. Our beginner ceramic courses are designed to teach students the basics of creating hand-built functional pottery and aesthetically pleasing sculptural forms. Once students have mastered the hand building techniques they will be introduced to throwing pots using the pottery wheel.
