Drawing I Surrealist Portraits

Students in drawing I created portraits that combine photo-realistic elements with surrealist imagery. We studied the work of Rene Magritte and Salvador Dali in preparation for this assignment. Students also took time to write a reflection about their experience with the drawing, as well as their thoughts about drawings completed by their peers.
